Tips to Writing Effective Radio Commercials (Spots)
✓ Be creative. If it sounds like all of the rest of the commercials, it will not stand
out.
✓ Use jingles, absurdity, multi-voices, sound effects, etc.
✓ Get your listener’s attention immediately.
✓ Use the name of the product, store (whatever is being advertised) at least three
times in the 30 second spot.
✓ Write in a conversational style.
