Description
Deformational structures such as folds and faults occur in different scales: microscopic to macroscopic. Such structures are visible on satellite images and on Google Earth.Your task is to open Google Earth (if you don’t have it on your desktop already, you can download it for free here (Links to an external site.)) and identify folds, faults, and other major structures such as trenches (formed at subduction zones), transform faults, or mid ocean ridges in your state, country, or continent. Take a screen shot of the area that shows the full extent of the structure. The image (screen shot) must clearly show the structure, approximately 1/3 to 1/2 page in size must accompany the description about the structure. The length of your description must be 250 to 300 words.
