I want to pursue Social Media Managing as my job prospect in the future. This has always have had my attention because of my interest in social media sites and moreover the working and facts behind them. Social media platforms works on heavy work behind the stage which makes it only possible to stage such a work and platform which everyone loves.

The following are the requirements for a social media manager profile in any company or moreover a digital agency where I want to go especially. (Kaplan, 2009a).

Thus this all when I got the results, made sure that yes I had a great online presence. But whether this was enough was the question to become a social media manager. Since there needs to be a great deal of told which you should be knowing, thus I need to present that to my future employers. (Tengblad, 2006),

Thus my present online presence was good but not good for the job which I want to pursue in future.

SWOT Analysis from both sides

Strength:

  1. Quite enriching content is there about my personality and work ethics which is visible online.
  2. My journey can be easily analyzed and growth can be seen in my work

Weakness:

  1. Not much of certificates or courses done in social media field
  2. Proper arrangement or showcase of work done as interns in this field.

Opportunities:

  1. Since the presence is good enough and I have an of networks, this can give me time to explore my fields and learn techniques.
  2. Since a proper account without any bias or anything is there, it gives a positive impression which can lead me to intern roles to learn more.

Threats:

  1. Opportunities might go to other people with less hard work in my own field.
  2. Prospective recruiters feel that its more of a generic marketing profile than a social media one.   

The kind of profile I would like to develop in order to attract my prospective employers is actually related to the kind of work I want to do. So for example I would like to deveop in following manner:

If I want to work on social media branding of a FMCG product-

Thus I would like to have some research papers done or researched on such topics of FMCG advertising trends etc. Moreover this being online published will make sure that my employer understands that I have a good knowledge of my sector and moreover of my work as well.

Part 2

Also to do social media branding, Google Ad words certificate, SEO Technology certificate should be a must in my profile which is even highlighted in my professional profiles.

Tow social media platforms chosen:

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram

I have chosen these two profiles because:

Facebook defined my ability of connections quite well. With the kind of friend base, followers list and so much more, it tells my ability to connect to people and use Facebook quite efficiently. This even makes it more visible though the ability of photographs reaching to many people and my reach in so many Facebook groups. This will help me to build a great impression on my employers because this is the brand I am building. With a lot of talk about work and ethics and other fun things, this shows that what kind of brand I am and what things I can contribute to their brand and company.

Facebook life events, live videos post etc. also shows that I am very much passionate about my pawn personal brand. And I like exhibiting it the way I find appropriate with a lot of rich content which has a strong backing up. This is something which will be coherent with my future field of work as well- A strong brand image that needs to be created with strong backing up of facts and great research. 

Instagram, I have chosen because what I communicate though my stories and photographs there describes my personality inside out. Like the recent post talks about my internship work in a manner which appeals to people. That is by playing words which attract people with good photos, I market my own experiences. This clearly helps me building my own brand. This is my personal brand which I make with the help of my thoughts and content molded into the content which appeal others.

Also the power of hash tags is something which has taken the internet by a storm, thus I use a lot of them which makes other people go through my content easily.

This is the way I also want to work for other brands which will help me incorporate my personal skills, for their brands and this is even great when I am going through the actual work.

To sum this all, I am personal brand which is waiting to make other brands strong enough online so that their reach can go to such extent where they themselves can’t go.

I feel strong brands need will and work. I present both of them since early days of my school and that is what my online presence even says. The world is an empty canvas, if you have the ability to write perceptions and create them as well.

Thus make sure that your online presence is the way you want it to be. I always knew there will be times when online presence will be so dominating that it will considered for your future jobs as well, thus I made sure, it’s always there up and running and I even thought that if I need to land in marketing domain, it’s all the more important for me to do the same and in proper ways. Thus here I am happy and trying to bring new ideas to my online presence. And this can be done, and should be done by you if this is the way you want your future to be.
