I think that performing a PDP will be very helpful because it will help me to get the knowledge about the skills that I have at the current situation and the skills that I want to develop within me in the upcoming future (Daft 2015). As I take all the test in the process of this PDP, it helps me to get a good knowledge about the drawbacks that I have and also the positive traits that I need to work upon. PDP practice is said to have a very good impact on the overall performance of the individuals. I think that each of the employees have some strengths and some weaknesses. Some it is through all the personality development tests like the evolution of style, performance test, pleasure or performance test, Mind and environ net, personal networking and others help in determining those areas. I have performed all these tests and got a corresponding score to each. These scores have helped me to gain some idea about my personality and to understand those areas that I need to focus upon (Bossert et al. 2007). However I feel that for this test to be successful there must be a two way method or a both needed process. This will be done only after getting my scores cheeked by my mentor. Grohnert et al (2014) is of the opinion that the PDPs are often not successful. These attempts fail due to lack of enough time, insufficient feedback, insufficient time of reflection, lack of enough interest on part of the mentor or on part of the person taking the test. So,   there needs to be an active participation from both the ends. I will make sure that after I take these tests I take them to my mentor for getting the feedbacks. This will help me in realizing the steps that would be beneficial for me in the coming years.

As much as my part is concerned, I will be making a thorough reflection on the score that I receive. This will help me to follow a routine wise and a step by step method for the purpose of self development process. I think that my seal and motivation will be the two most important factors in this process. I think that this PDP will; have a very positive impact on me development (Fredrickson 1986). This will also be very helpful for having a positive effective on my career. I will have set my goals and a proper time frame that will be very useful in this process. I need to set the time frame and the possible resources that I will be using in order to overcome the drawbacks that I have within my personality.

There are different ways in which I have to fit myself on the design. I will have to make a connection between the class materials and the way in which I am making the PDP. I think i need to inculcate some qualities that are needed in the future for working in some very good managerial posts. I have made it a point to fill up in each and every self assessment forms. I have also made it a point to take all the possible sorts of tests so that I get to know the score and I can form the steps accordingly. I think that I am capable of working in teams as I have a good team spirit. I remember that during my school days I was often appointed as the team leader of a group project or as the class monitor as well. It is also from these experiences that I have gained some idea about my capability of working in a team. However I feel that I have some problem in dealing with my anger. It is for this reason that I need to work upon this particular aspect. I think that my ability in the personal networking skill is not low and I really need to work on this particular aspect. I have to develop a proper networking system with all the active stakeholders so that I can perform well (Hamel Prahalad 1994).

I will have to develop a strategy that will help me to work over my weaknesses within a certain period of time. This will help me to move forward in a step by step manner. I will make a chart and also list the time and the resources that I will require for overcoming them. I will form strategies like attending some anger management class, yoga sessions and others.

I will have to keep in mind that I am working in a management position a famous company like the Emirates.  The controlling and power will not always be centralized. The important business decisions will be taken by taking into account the opinions of all the employees. It is for this reason that my affinity towards clan culture will be instrumental in this case (Král and Králová 2016).

System

The system that runs in this organization will always involve the opinion of all the employees. There can also be many uncertain situations. So, it is at this point of time that I need to be quick and realistic enough to take the decisions. So, I have to adapt myself to the changing situations and take the decision accordingly.

The gap I find is the lack of control over my anger and the communication prospect. I will work on keeping a positive and a calm approach. I will work more on my team spirit and inculcate the same among my team mates.

Skills

The strongest skills that I have as per the need of the company are a team working spirit and my affinity towards the clan culture.  However at times, I find it tough to keep a calm mind or control my anger. This is an essential area that I will have to work upon. I will have to keep myself calm and positive so that I can always motivate my colleagues. I think that I have the ability to fulfil my job role as I am punctual and hardworking but at the same time I will work on my drawbacks as well.

I will thus try to make sure that I am working really hard and making sure that I develop a good communication system with the stakeholders both on the internal and the external level a well.

However I cannot really meet handle yourself during the hours of huge pressure. I feel that I am running short of time and I often fail to meet the targets. I feel that I am being bit restless and I am hurrying up in my work (Grosios et al. 2010). I feel that this due to the lack of proper decision making power. As I am associated with such a huge airlines organization that is with Emirates, I feel that I must be ready to work on my decision making skill. This is because I have to make sure that I am able to maintain my strength during hours of uncertainty.

 I am also of a bit introvert nature. I feel bit shy in speaking with all the colleagues including my superiors or my subordinates. I often face some difficulty in speaking or in communicating the decision.

I think that I need to work more upon the areas of my interest so that I can become a good employee at my workplace. As I want to work in multinational organization I have to gain knowledge in the fields of team management and team interaction. I have to make sure that I am I am improving in this field. I will have to develop my skills in terms of decision making power as well. This is because being an employee at the managerial level; I have to be prompt enough in taking the right decision. I also have to often take the right decision without thinking much about the layer consequences. However in order to do this, I will have to work upon my communication skills as well. I will have to be more outspoken. This will help me to open up with the employees and make sure that I am being able to interact with all the employees properly.

I will be taking into account the results that I have got in the tests. I will thus be using these results to make sure that I am being able to overcome the problems. I have taken the following tests and I will be reflecting in the results of the same.

The first test that I have taken is the evolution of style test shape that I need to work more on the personal networking aspect. This is because I know that I have to work in a kind of collaboration with all the colleagues. I have got a low score in the political style. This shows that I need to totally work on my team working and team interacting spirit.

In the human resource part however I have got a good score. This is evident of the fact that I am capable of looking after the needs and requirements of the employees. In also have an affinity towards working in the clan culture. This also proves that I do not really like the bossy nature. I want all the employees to work with one another in a collaborative manner.

I am also a very punctual person and I do not like breaking of rules. I will always try to abide by the rules and regulation of the company. So, I would always like to see my team working in a good manner by complying with the team rules and regulations as well.

However the decision making test was really very tough for me. I was kind of struggling with that test. This is I cannot decide which way to go.  I think that this is because of my doubts and fears of the consequences. I am working as a manager in the Emirates and this really deserves a huge responsiveness to uncertain situations and a prompt decision making power as well. I feel that if I take a certain decision that is out of the box then this might turn out to be very harmful. However I have to keep in mind that I need to at times think pout of the box and I need to make sure that I am being able to take the right and the apt decision whenever needed. I have to keep in mind that there can be many different problems that can often crop up. So I have to take many different approaches and different kinds of decisions as per the need of the situation.

I have to work on the goal setting part. This is because my score is 4 and I need to really take it to the range between 2 or 3 or perhaps make it 1. In order to do this I will have to develop the confidence through which I can reach up to my goal.  I am often tensed under huge pressure. So, it is during these times that I often get confused. I will somehow have to overcome these problems and rake care of the deadlines. As I am working in the famous airlines company , Emirates, I have to deliver many goals, I will have to keep in mind that there are very tight schedules of meeting with the deadlines. There will be the deadlines of delivering any projects or solving any issues raised by the clients or any other such problems.

Conclusion

So, I can conclude that I have been helped a lot by the PDP and the psychometric tests. This will be heedful for me in the future. I will be able to make sure that I am working on my errors and overcoming them. I will try to instill the communication skill; within  myself so that I can easily communicate with people. I will also work hard on my decision making skill. I will work on this by moving forward in a step by step manner.
