High budget estimation for the project: AUD 50000.00

Social media research centre is a research centre which is basically developed to manage the research paper implemented by the master’s and PhD students of different research institutions. As the time is increasing the number members and the number of papers are also increasing accordingly.  Due to the increasing amount of information currently the organization is acing major troubles. In order to mitigate the issues the Social media research centre is willing to implement a website based application system. It will help to enhance the operational ad functional ability of the data management system. This advanced approach is found to be very much efficient for the business organization. In fact before implementation of the project the project manager has estimated a project budget that is AUD 50000.00 and from the project requirement the project manager has identified that 8 months will be enough to complete the project. Collaboratively the determined project objectives are as follows:

  • To implement a website oriented application system for Social media research centre.
  • To mitigate the data management relevant issues
  • To store the details of the projects developed by both the master’s and PhD students.
  • To store the publication details of the research papers in the data server of the organization
  • To store and retrieve required information from the server whenever required
  • To complete the project within 8 months
  • To implement the web application system in AUD 50000.00.
  • To develop a secured system for Social media research centre where the information will get updated according as per the user requirement.

During the analysis period of the project requirement it has been found that after successful delivery of the project it will be able to store the users requirement such as the details of the master’s and PhD research students and also the details of the publications. The system will have a login approach. Due to the presence of the login approach the authenticated users will be able to access data from the server. Not only this but also the unauthorized users will not be able to access any information from the server. In order to promote the proposed system and to grab large number of consumers throughout, implementation of social media is also found to be very much helpful.

Depending upon the business type of Social media research centre it has been found that, the Measurable Organizational Values (MOV) that are required to be considered mainly includes the functional and the operational capability those are needed to develop an website these applications are very much necessary to develop a secured website. With the help of this secured website none of the external rather unauthorized user will be able to access data from the server also due to the security aspects the publication details and the details of the research papers will be secured from the unwanted users. Apart from this, the complete cut off cost of the project is also required to be very lower than other this similar type of organizations. Additionally it has also been found that, the project can be both negatively and positively impacted by the components of the project. The impact of the project components are as follows:

Area of impact

Ranking of the impacts

Social impact

Very high

Consumer’s impact

Low

Impact of finance

Medium

Impact of the business operation

Medium

Impact of business strategy

Very high

Better: The website developed by the Social media research centre is required to be worked very much efficiently and effectively both from the consumers and from the business perspectives. The functionalities are needed to be very much user friendly so that the consumers could use the system without any sort of difficulty.

Project objectives

Faster: The system is needed to be faster enough. With the help of the additional different digital advanced the overall efficiency of the system will also increase. As the system efficiency will increase it will be able to grab large number of consumers. Faster system is always beneficial for business organization.

Cheaper: IN order to develop a website for the Social media research centre it is necessary to consider the feasibility of the components. If both the software and the hardware development components of the system are found to be cheaper then, the total budget required to develop the system will also be lesser. It will help to increase the number of total resources. The pressure of the cost burden will also get reduced if the overall project cost gets reduced.

Do more: Certain more components are also required to be considered by the project manager to satisfy the consumers of the project. Basically in order to satisfy the consumers the technical advances are also needed to be incorporated by the project manager.

Stakeholder’s name

Expectation

Project manager

The PM is expecting to complete the task within 8 months with AUD 50000.00

Audit  manager

To  implement the task within the estimated budget only

Application  manager

Expects to develop such a system where all the application could run efficiently.

Program manager

Expect to develop the codes properly for developing a project

System manager

Expects to develop an advanced, user friendly and satisfactory website for the consumers.

It is expected that the project is required to be completed within 8 months with AUD 50000.00 considering all the required features and even before real world implementation of the project the project manager should go through all the requirement of the users. In order to reduce the total cut off cost of the project the project manager should eliminate the unwanted resources from the system and also only the required resources are needed to be considered by the project manager. Even after the project development, the project manager must deliver the system to the project tester and to the internal consumers to test whether the system is beneficial for the research centre or not. Finally, the executive of the company must approve all the components of the system.

In order to develop any project for any business it is mandatory to assume certain criteria such as the content of the project management team, the minimum qualification of the staffs, the hardware and the software requirement, the total required time and the total budget of the project. All the functional and the operational requirements are needed to be assumed by the project manager at the project initiation phase and before the project planning phase.

Triple constraints such as project scope, budget and time have been determined for the development of this project. It has been found that, the project is required to be completed within 8 month with AUD 50000.00.

The one and only limitation of the project is the resources. It means that the resources cannot be defined at the initial phase rather with the changing time period the number of resources might increase. Therefore, the project manager should assume these components very much carefully.

Apart from this, due to the presence of intranet login approach none of the external users will be able to access the detail information from the server without the permission of the project manager and the project management authority. Rather in order to develop the system the necessary resources, hardware and software requirements are also understood accurately. T he system is capable to serve all the user requirements rapidly and faster ad also automatic update approach is also available in this system. Purpose of communication planning

The leading purpose of developing a communication plan is to build an organization which is completely free from the internal conflicts. If any organization lacks to develop a communication then project manager and the members of the project management team will not be able to exchange information or idea to one another. In order to mitigate this particular issue the research centre is required to develop an open communication plan so that the PM and the team members could share their opinion to each other. This behavior will again motivate the project team members.

In order to develop both the operational and functional excellence, certain changes are required to be adapted by the system such as addition of feed back or invoice. With the help of the invoice the existing users will be able to share their views with each other. Therefore, the new clients will get to know about the system effectiveness and friendliness. Another change that could be incorporated is the help of social media. It will help to promote the system over the internet medium.
