Growth Of Construction Project Efficiency Using Innovative Tools

Impact of Innovative Technology on Construction Projects

The topic for the research project is ‘Growth of construction project efficiency using innovative tools’ and it deals with the growth of construction projects and alignment of the effective formation of the utilization of functions. The innovation technology had been supportive of the implication of the effective and smart project execution (Paolillo, Olson & Straub, 2016). The innovative technology implication is helpful for increasing the productivity of the construction projects. The implication of the effective and smart project analysis would be resulting in increasing the scope of the construction projects. The following research project is helpful for developing the complete innovation of technology and the simultaneous alignment of the innovative technology. The literature review has been done based on the peer reviewed literatures and articles for ensuring that effective and smart innovation technology would be achieved. Moreover, the innovative and improved operations would be aligned for easing the implication of the operations.

According to Lloyd-Walker, Mills and Walker (2014), the innovation technology had been supportive of the implication of the effective and smart project execution. The implication of the effective and smart project analysis would be resulting in increasing the scope of the construction projects. The expected project duration would be shorter and the scope would be more effective. Moreover, the innovative and improved operations would be aligned for easing the implication of the operations. The raw materials, tools, and equipments would be more effective resulting in probable innovation technology (Fernando, Thorpe & Goh, 2014). The implication of the innovative technology not only improves the project performance, but it also helps in using the technology for increasing the project scope, less requirement of the human skills, and ensuring the safety of the people. The growth of the construction projects would be scaled in this report. An analysis of the study by Zhang and He (2018), it is evident that the improvement of construction projects in the last few years was assisted by the improving innovative technology and the factors of equipments’ development. The support and innovation would also be helpful for summarization of the construction project and finding some mitigation strategies for the probable factors of risks. The alignment of the successive and improved data analysis is very crucial for the development of the proper research proposal (Alwan, Greenwood & Gledson, 2015). The support of innovative technology would be helpful for aligning the development of the project activities and operations and it would allow the completion of the project in the expected time and budget.

Project Plan

The research project of ‘Growth of construction project efficiency using innovative tools’ had been done considering the utilization of the authentic data from the various reliable sources. The completion of the research would help in analysing the probable impact of the innovative technology for the development of the improved construction project activities. The aims of the research are,

Understand the impact of innovative technology: The construction projects are bounded by the limitation of equipments, work scope, safety, and human skills. The implication of the innovative technology not only improves the project performance, but it also helps in using the technology for increasing the project scope, less requirement of the human skills, and ensuring the safety of the people.

Develop the growth of construction projects: The growth of the construction projects would be scaled in this report. An analysis of the improvement of construction projects in the last few years would be helpful for improving the factors of development. The support and innovation would also be helpful for summarization of the construction project and finding some mitigation strategies for the probable factors of risks.

The research project of ‘Growth of construction project efficiency using innovative tools’ had been done for understanding the impact of innovative technology on construction projects by analysis of the authentic data from the various reliable sources. The possible research questions for the research are,

  • What is the considerable growth of the construction projects in the last few years with the growth of technology?
  • Is there any relation between the growth of the construction projects and innovation for the last few years?

The project for researching on growth of construction project efficiency using innovative tools has been developed considering the growth and development using the effective and smart innovative technology. The support of waterfall methodology would be helpful for aligning the development of the project schedule in an effective and improved operation and it would allow the completion of the project. The project plan has been divided into 4 major phases namely research initiation, planning, execution, and closure. The complete research plan has been explained below,

Research Initiation: It is the first phase of the research project comprising the utilization of the improved and innovative development. Initial information development would be eased with the formation of the successful development. The activities included in this phase are accumulation of resources, requirement analysis, initiation document, submission of documents, and kick off. The completion of the phase is the predecessor of the planning phase for the project.

Planning: It is the second phase of the project comprising of the activities of activities are listed, scheduling the activities, plan review, and plan approval. The planning phase is developed for scheduling the project activities and ensuring that the project can be successfully executed. The plan development would be required for checking the proper execution and development of the project activities.

Conclusion

Execution: It is the main phase of the project where the research work would be done resulting in forming the final execution of the project. The execution phase comprises of identification of research objectives, research questions are developed, data is collected, filtering of data, data analysis, summary of the analysis, literature review, and final report is developed. The completion of the execution phase would involve the collection of the data and the development of the data analysis summary. The execution phase completion would be succeeded by the final documentation phase.

Closure: It is the last phase of the project resulting in ending the project for developing the final report documentation. The closure documentation would be formed with the help of activities like final documentation, conclusion, document submission, and sign off. The project would be terminated in this phase with the completion of the research project report.

The data collection has been done from the past reports, journal articles, and website data on the impact of innovative technology on construction projects. The authentic data collection would be done manually by questionnaire answering, surveys, and personal interviews. The completion of the project is largely responsible for the accumulation of the authentic data on the growth of construction projects by the support of innovative technology. The alignment of the successive and improved data analysis is very crucial for the development of the proper research proposal. Some data along with their sources on the topic has been given in the appendix section of this report.

The project plan was developed using the traditional waterfall model and it involves the use of the sequential activities. The development of the operations would also support the implication of the improved functional and development. The alignment of the activities was supported by the alignment of the traditional waterfall model. The project schedule has been developed using the Ms-Project software showing the Gantt chart and timeline for the project. The project schedule is shown in the table below,
