The purpose of the project charter is to develop the project plan for constructing a new recreational facility and playground (Meadowvale Park Playground).The playground project will serve different suburb areas. It will serve as a regional destination for the families for undertaking the leisure activities. The aim of this project is to develop the project plan for constructing a new recreational facility and playground (Meadowvale Park Playground) and complete the project till Easter weekend 2019. The estimated project duration is 12 months and the estimated project budget is $3 billion. The third stage of the project will be undertaken that includes the development of the play landscape that includes aerial, ground and wet play. The approval for the project from the higher management is important in order to begin the project on time. The activities related to the selection of play equipment designer and manufacturer, installation of the play equipment is highly important. The responsibilities will be delegated to the project team as per the skills of the members. The project team will be responsible for completing the tasks related to the third stage of the project, with the help of the available resources and within the estimated time for each of the task of project. The project manager will be responsible for managing the activities or the tasks of the project so that the project can be completed within the time limit. The project manager will make sure to deliver the major deliverable on time. The communication with the project team on the regular basis will help in completing the project on time.

Requirement Description

1. Aerial play

This play landscape will include the play equipment for the aerial play. All the play equipment for aerial play needs to be selected and installed in the aerial play area of the park.

2. Ground play

This play landscape will include the play equipment for the ground play. All the play equipment for ground play need to be selected and installed in the ground play area of the park

3. Wet play

This play landscape will include the play equipment for the wet play. All the play equipment for wet play need to be selected and installed in the wet play area of the park

Developing the project plan

The development of the effective project plan will help in completing the project on time and within the available budget. It is important to develop the plan so that the objectives of the project can be met effectively.

Submission of the project files on the due date

The project plan needs to be delivered in the initiation phase for the approval of the project. The approval on time will help in completing the project on time.

The completion of the aerial play, ground play and wet play

The selection and installation of all the play equipment for the aerial play, ground play and wet play are the major deliverable for the project. It is important to develop these areas and complete it on time for the further investigation related to the safety of play equipment for the children and public.

Completion of the playground project on the specified time that is Easter weekend 2019.

The internal stakeholders of the Meadowvale Park Playground project are project team, project manager, Aranui City Council (ACC). The external stakeholders of this project are public and children.

  2. Ideas incorporated in the park are obtained by the consultation with local community.
  3. It is necessary to complete the project till Easter weekend 2019.
  4. It is necessary to complete the project within the budget allotted by ACC that is $3 million.
  • It is assumed in this project that the amount of $3 million has been confirmed as a part of overall budget of ACC for the current year already.
  • The execution of the project will take place within the time allotted.
  • The official opening of Meadowvale Park Playground will be on Easter weekend and it is the final date for the completion of the Meadowvale Park Playground project.
  • The project will complete within the available resource.
