Identifying a Senior User for Traditional Owners of the Land

Department of Roads and Transport and the Mackay Regional Council

You are told to identify a Senior User who can represent the Traditional Owners of the land in which the footpath is being built.

Traditional owners of Australia are those responsible for the development of the country infrastructure while traditional owners of the project are those who sponsored the Quota Park Footpath construction and development earlier. To find a representative from traditional owners of the land who include Department of Roads and Transport and the Mackay Regional Council, managers working for these organizations can be approached

However, when addressing the original owners of Australia, the project manager would have to include the Welcome to country approach as it suits the aborigines.

The senior supplier is considering gathering of requirement by taking help from the lead designers who had worked for Local Greek Community Club so that a similar design can be created. However, this approach may not be appropriate as requirement for the construction of faculties at the footpath project may be completely different from the needs for community clubs.. A better approach would be to create basic requirements from the previous knowledge but take juts for the formation of base for supplier arrangements but new inputs from the people who are the stakeholder of the project to prepare the actual requirement for the new project. These stakeholders would include the owners of the project, traditional owners of Australia, and the public using the footpath.

MoSCoW Principle is a technique that can be used of gathering requirements for the project.

Using this method requirements of project can be prioritized by categorizing all requirements into Must, Should, Could, and Would or Won’t.

MUST include those requirements that have to be fulfilled in order to get acceptance of the project. On this project, MUST include footpath construction and a permanent feature to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Land.

SHOULD include theses requirements that are to be kept on high priority and must be addressed if possible. Placement of the feature in a prominent place could be put into this category. Also, a lane may be created for the people walking and for those cycling in the place.

COULD include a thing which would be desirable to have on the project such as inscription of a script giving the story of earlier owners. This could explain the history of the place along with mention of names of the communities that were past owners.

Would include those requirements that stakeholders want to have or do not want to have but the decision has been taken otherwise. On this project stakeholders do not want owners feature but it was later decided to actually have the feature installed.

The project has some additional requirements including purchase of network systems and establishes connectivity for the staff.  With this change required, two documents have to be updated and that would include scope management plan in which inclusions would be updated with new deliverable of connectivity. Another document that would be updated would be the Schedule as it would be affected majorly as the new additional development would also need more time for execution of the plan as per the new scope.

The management decided to take the inputs from one of the senior users from the traditional owners of Australia community but it may not be sufficient as there could be multiple perspectives of different Islanders and aborigines that can go ignored with considerations of only a single person covered. It is a large community that needs more people to represent their views.

The stakeholders of this project would include Museum owners, owners of the objects put on the display in the Museum, public visiting the museum, tourism department, government body regulating historical and heritage place, and the staff who would be responsible for managing the museum

COULD include a thing which would be desirable to have on the project such as mobile application

WOULD include those requirements that stakeholders want to have or do not want to have but the decision has been taken otherwise. On this project, inventory management was earlier decided to include but it may not be included at present.

Sunshine Coast Council is the traditional owner of the park while Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities were the traditional owners of Australia. Senior users were be chosen from the council

On this project of development of Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park, tourists, park visitor, tourist ministry, local shop owners who would be running their shops on the beach, fishermen who could be using the sea for their business, Land owners, state authorities of hospitality management,  owners of ferries, boats and surfing boards running on the beach.

MUST includes accommodation, kitchen for cooking by the staff , pool, playground, kids club for families visiting the park, bike riding activity for youngsters, marina park housing marine life, and playground complex for kids to enjoy outer sports facilities like basketball and football.

SHOULD include these requirements that are to be kept on high priority and must be addressed if possible. Requirements in this category include online booking for accommodation, dispensing of tickets though printing on the online site that visitors can show at the park.

COULD include a thing which would be desirable to have on the project such as Night camping near the beach for visitors and construction of a central aquarium displaying key attractions of the marine life at the beach..

Management Services Mooloolaba Beach Holiday Park Project

WOULD include those requirements that stakeholders want to have or do not want to have but the decision has been taken otherwise. On this project, camel rides would not be included that was earlier thought about for enhancing tourist value.

Traditional owners of the land include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities that are living in the location nearby and thus, a senior user has to be chosen from the local community dwellers to understand the requirement

MUST include enrolments, curriculum setting, campus parking and day care after school hours for young kids. Basic necessities would also include development of a website which would display all the information about the school

SHOULD include these requirements that are to be kept on high priority and must be addressed if possible. Requirements in this category include a uniform shop from where students can buy their school uniforms, electronic whiteboards, and catering services for lunch. Additionally, it can include the provision of enrolment in the school through the website by making payments to the school using online payment gateway facility.

COULD include a thing which would be desirable to have on the project such as tuck shop for providing healthy lunches. This shop can be used by students for buying food as well as hanging out after school hours which will give additional business to the school shareholders.

WOULD include those requirements that stakeholders want to have or do not want to have but the decision has been taken otherwise. On this project, tab hall hiring was firsts considered but then cancelled to include in the requirement.
