This report reflects the key understanding on the leadership skills and styles followed by leaders to run the process functioning of organization. This report requires my learning that considers the experience in leadership course and how I use my practical and theoretical knowledge to build wise leader. There are various article and journals which are taken to make effective leadership theories and style. I have analyzed my leadership study to implement proper strategic program. In this report, five journals have been analyzed to make effective leadership study and implementation of these gained knowledge in my practical life. Leadership is the intent which is learned from study program and learning it from practical examples

After evaluating and learning various intents of leaders through my leader course, I have analyzed that leaders influence their followers very effectively. The main role of leader is to create synergy in the work when they are getting work done by others. There are several leadership styles which I could follow in my own practical life when I am getting my work done by others. I have analyzed that if I could implement proper leader’s strategy in my personal and professional life then it will lead to effective work- life balance. There are several roles and responsibilities which need to be followed while running effective leadership skills (John, 2017).

Leaders are the persons who command or lead a group of person, team or organization through their effective leadership strategy. It is considered that the main role of leader is to navigate followers in best effective manner. For instance, if in organization, leader is appointed then all the employees will be accustomed to act as per his directions and instructions. In organization, the main role of leader is to increase the overall productivity and efficiency of employees in working. The main responsibilities of leaders are to get the work done in right manner. It is considered that if employees or followers are stuck in particular situation then it is the responsibilities to overcome that problem and show them the right path for the betterment of organization at large. Overcoming the conflict between employees, showing them the right path and increasing the overall productivity of organization are the main method for the betterment of organization (Gal-Arieli, et al. 2015).

Role and responsibilities of leaders in an organization

As stated by Herrmann and Felfe, 2014 it is reflected that throughout my experience and learning from this course study, I have observed that leaders should be ahead for their followers. I have  analyzed that if proper navigation and path is shown to the people in society then it will not only provide the benefits to society but also enhance the corporate social responsibilities functioning of corporate world. It is evaluated that leaders helps all the followers to develop creative and innovative working which will not only increase the efficiency of working but also increase the productivity in the given work. However, it is considered that followers will be committed to the work only when leaders show them the right path to work upon. The inabilities of leaders in developing good practice, CSR activities, policies and measures will create many challenges and trouble for the organization at large.  These levels of leadership styles and increasing changes in the business has helped to develop new leadership intents in my business functioning.

As stated by Zhang, et al. 2015 it is evaluated that leaders should understand all the theories and implication while running the leaders and management in organization. There are several theories such as trait theory, behavior theories and contingency theory.  In corporate world, there is complex business environment, each and every leaders needs to adopt behavior leader theory such as autocratic, democratic and laissez-faire leaders. It has shown that how well leaders could implement its decisions and actions in their business functioning. Being a leader, I would adopt autocratic leaders when decisions need to be made quickly. This autocratic leadership theory is adopted to showcase proper level of working and learning outcomes. In organization, when decision are taken and work is assigned to employees, then this autocratic leadership strategy is undertaken to implement proper level of strategic plan in business. Employees are tending to perform better and efficient when they are shown path to do their work.

As stated by Vann, Coleman and Simpson (2014) it is evaluated that I have followed autocratic leadership theory in my own practice leadership style. In one of my own experience, I have analyzed that I am good leader. I faced the problem while showing path to followers in the organization where I was hired.  It was the Lucky café private limited. It is evaluated that when this company adopted cyber computing enterprises resources planning in its value chain activities, then all the employees of that company showed their resistance to change. I being leader of that Lucy Café had to seat with them and analyzed all the problems and conflicts which they were facing in business. I realized that they were having resistance to change in business. Therefore, I had to convey all the employees and suggested them all the benefits which they will get after adopting cyber computing system in business. This will not only increase the communications among all the employees and management but also establish automation in various activities. There are several problems and issues which I have also faced being leader in that organization such as communication problems. Perception issues, management of business activities and convincing others in efficient manner. I need to gauge all the problems and issues of leaders while implementing my own leadership style. autocratic leadership style also several problems such as it focuses on only taking prompt decisions and identifying the best suitable course of action in the best interest of organization.

Leaders as navigators for their followers

However, with the changes in leadership style and complexity of business, I need to change my own leadership style as per the needs and wants of my followers. I have gauged that followers will only believe you when they have no doubt in you. If I want to become efficient leaders then I should be able to analyze all the internal and external factors of business and followers perception as well (Din, Rashid and Noh, 2016).

As stated by Adeyemo, Terry and Lambert, (2015) it is reflected that leaders should understand the personal and professional factors of employees or followers if they want to influence them in proper manner. The main ethical point of view of leaders is to influence the followers in positive manner. Being a leader, I have analyzed that the success of employees or follower should be done in ethical manner. If I could influence the employees and followers then I will use these strategies and powers to influence the employees or followers in positive manner. I will use these leadership intents to make effective leadership program. I need to implement proper level strategic program to showcase the best path to employees and followers for the betterment of organization. If these followers will do the right work in efficient manner then it will increase the value and productivity of organization at large. If I use proper ethical manner in working then it will increase my own efficiency while adopting particular leadership intents (Turner and Müller, 2015).

After evaluating the details and critical analysis of various journal articles of the leadership, I have analyzed these leadership theories and leadership practice implication depends upon the various factors.  I have considered that if proper level of communication program and perception factors of followers are gauged in proper manner then it will helps my leadership style in effective manner (Mwenda and Wachira, 2015).  As per my own behavior and learning outcomes throughout my course, I have learned that I should adopt autocratic leadership style and theory while influencing employees and followers in business. In addition to this, I have also learned how to influence other behaviors in positive manner. I have analyzed that I should consider all the internal and external factors of business in positive manner. If I could absorb autocratic leadership style in my influencing behavior then it will increase the overall productivity.  It would infer that if I want to make my future better leader then I should master one leadership style to make my own working effective (Giltinane, 2013). However, after that I could use different leadership style to influence employees in different manner.
