The main aim of this research essay is to reflect the importance of team work to obtain goals of the company. Team work can enhance the productivity, effectiveness, morale, job satisfaction and innovative thinking to an organization. It is necessary for the leaders of the organization to keep focus on resolving the conflicts and increasing the cooperation (Harrison, 2011). They should inspire more than they drive and because of these strategies the exceptional team can be developed in an organization with an effective manner. The essay will elaborate that how team members can cooperate and develop an exceptional team in an organization as it is vital for the success of the company to have the effective team. The coordination is vital for the team work to help each other and for this team leader should make the common goal on which entire team should work.

The role of leader in making effective team within the organization is huge. They need to perform different roles such as target setter, facilitator, coach and trainer, motivator and conflict resolver. Leader can direct the followers in right path by which they can cooperate with each other in an efficient manner but it can be possible with effectual communication strategy. It cannot be assume that the team to start work without having proper knowledge about the objectives and goals of the organization. Leaders should involve in the particular task and offering close supervision. According to Sethuraman & Suresh, (2014), team can be failed due to less time and improper resources to accomplish the task. The role of leaders in such situation is to analyze that what are the major reasons behind lacking of performance. It has been found by Disney company that  due to selection of effective member for casting for the role in the show, offer initial orientation and on the job training and communicate effectively, it facilitates them to handle the corporate culture that persists to lead to pride in the organization. The great example of leading the team in an effective manner as the team members of the organization are happy to do work in Disney World Co. It is essential for the leaders of the organization to build self-efficacy. The team can perform in different manner if they have idea about how to accomplish the tasks and what skills are required to do task (Warrick, 2016). This kind of strategy by leader can encourage the self-assurance of an employee who was unable to achieve self-efficacy. According to Fearon, (2018), the self efficacy of team member will influence the choices they make at the time of working on the task.

Importance of effective communication and cooperation

It has been stated by Nye & Welch, (2014), that the cooperation refers the working together and taking turns by helping each other out. The team work in the organization can be a success if coordination is there. It has been found that the cooperation is not considered as an easy thing to attain in the organization, but the endeavour is worth it because it makes a productive as well as a harmonious place to work. Cooperation is playing a significant role in the organization as it facilitates to make difference between success and failure for a number of businesses. It is apparent that if an employee gives more time to their duties and responsibilities in a cooperative workplace, they are more effective and productive to things get done in a quicker manner. it is necessary for the growth of the organization to do not spend valuable time in internal strife between employees and management and it can be saved with the help of cooperation within the company.

Team members should value each other because cooperative workplace can enhance the productivity of the employees when management reaches out to team members looking for input as to what things are required to complete the task. The team member should respect each other and listen to each team member’s perception in regard to complete the task. These kinds of activities enable to make the exceptional team that is ready to make the task in a quick manner by showing cooperation. It has been found that the cooperation can be done with the help of team work as well as team building which would be helpful in increasing the performance and effectiveness. The team can be developed in more significant manner if team leader determine what performance to measure and decide how to measure performance (Priest & Gass, 2017).

According to Grant & Maxwell, (2018), high-performance practices can be referred as the practices that have been reflected to develop the capacity of the organization for the purpose of attracting, developing, hiring and retaining high performing personnel. The superior team can be grown in the more effectual way if it categorized into three parts such as chartering, developing and sustaining. In the first step, it is essential for the team members to know about the goals and aims of the company and their role in completing them (Groen, Wilderom & Wouters, 2017). Developing is the second component that entails decision making, problem solving, work processes and interpersonal behaviour. At last, sustaining refers that the team leader should take feedback from the team members so that the team leader could find the reason being lacking of performance (de Waal & Heijtel, 2017). There is an example of high performance working of Toyota is Just in Time as an inventory reduction system. This system of Toyota is helpful in increasing the productivity of the employees and reduces the work hard of the employee in inventory. It has been analyzed that the huge inventory buffers will hide problems. It has been expected by the Toyota Company to pull a string when they find any deviation from standard which can prevent the production line (Liker & Hoseus, 2009).

High-performance work practices for developing a superior team

It has been found that there are major five elements of a high-performance work system such as organizational structure, task design, people, reward system and information system. The team can be more superior if they get proper guidance regarding change within the organization (Keerativutisest & Hanson, 2017). it is vital for the company to maintain the high performance working in the organization to adopt the latest technology and these changes can be implemented within the organization with taking help of change management models such as Kotter’s change model, Mckinsey7s model, and Kotter’s change management model.

A high performance organization has the potential to attain financial as well as non-financial outcomes with effective team. It is essential for the team leader to keep focus on 4 pillars of high performance such as plan, priorities, people and process. High performance working builds the high performance organization and it can be possible due to effective sources within the organization.  It is necessary for creating the effective team to have the better understanding in the context of team’s work to the highest degree possible. It involves understanding the significance of their job and how it influences the effectiveness of others and the entire team effort. The effective team should have agreed upon aims that are measurable, simple and clearly pertinent to the task of the team (Zhang, Qi, Jin, Chi, Qi,  Li & Wang, 2014). The team can be exception and different from others if they understand each other and cooperate to accomplish the task. There is an example of McDonald’s that shows the high performance organization because the brand mission of the company is to be the favourite place for the customers. The worldwide operations of the company are aligned around a global approach that is called the Plan to Win, which centre on an outstanding customer knowledge – People, Products, Place, Price and Promotion (Qureshi & Hassan, 2013).

 There should be common goal instead of personal goal as common gaols make team more effective in which team  member fight for attaining common goal without observing that whose efforts are working or whose not. High performance organization framework would be helpful in creating the superior team within the organization because it is initially designed to bring out the best in employee. Along with that it produces the organizational capability that delivers sustainable organizational results.

From above discussion, it can be concluded that the effective team within the organization can amplify the revenue of the company and reduce the job attrition rate. However, it is hard to make the exceptional team perform outstanding within the organization but it can be possible with the help of effectual guidance of leadership. Leaders have the significant role in making effective team within the organization. Working as a team can promote a wider sense of ownership because team project motivates employees to feel responsible for their contribution. Teamwork enables employees to tackle conflicts in more significant manner and create notable work together because working toward attaining goals of the company permits employees to feel linked to the company. This kind of activity is useful in building loyalty and leading to an upper level of job satisfaction among employees. It has been concluded that the teamwork is not facilitated for employees only but also benefits the employer in the long run. The importance of high-performance working and high-performance organization has been emphasized in this essay for the purpose of building an effective team within the organization. It has been cleared that the team members can cooperate in developing the effective team by understanding the desires and skills of each other so that conflicts can be resolved in an efficient manner without affecting the organizational goals.
